In 2007 we achieved or organised the following:
- The successful appointment of 67 Trainee Probation Officers (TPO).
- 6419 application pack requests for the TPO recruitment drive.
- 93% of newly qualified Probation Officers on the DipPS programme surveyed, stated that they had received a good service from the South East Consortium.
- 110 Probation staff attended our annual graduation for newly qualified Probation Officers.
- 100 Probation Service Officers (PSO) took part in an Induction Programme, which equates to 92 training days.
- 22 PSO staff attended Hostel/Approved Premises training events, which equates to 6 training days.
- Piloting of Accredited PSO Induction Training in association with the University of Portsmouth
- 362 Probation staff attended Accredited Programme training and development events, which equates to 75 training days.
- 40 Probation staff attended one day Accredited Progamme Assessment Centres.
- 186 staff from the Probation & Prison Services attended other developmental events, which equates to 9 days.
- Regional initiatives and events in connection with the Offender Management Training for Probation and Prison colleagues.
- 196 candidates were utilising the NVQ Centre.
- A/B grades from the External Verification by City and Guilds of our NVQ Centre in relation to Community Justice awards
- A grades from the External Verification by City and Guilds of our NVQ Centre in relation to Advice & Guidance awards.
