The National Offender Management Service is currently reviewing the qualification framework and training curriculum for all staff involved in Offender Management and Interventions. Once information is available, we will display it on this website.

Trainee Probation Officers undertake a two-year training programme to achieve the qualification of Diploma in Probation Studies. This comprises of a BA (Hons) degree in Community Justice Studies and a Level 4 NVQ in Community Justice (Working with Offending Behaviour).
